Anna Ślusarczyk, MSc

Graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Wrocław. In 2024 she obtained a Master’s degree in Medical Chemistry and is currently pursuing her PhD at the Doctoral School of Chemistry.

Her research interests have developed since her master’s studies, when she joined the OPUS-21 project funded by the National Science Centre Poland under the supervision of Dr. Joanna Wątły. In her master’s thesis she characterized a native fragment of the salivary glycoprotein MUC7 and its peptidomimetic analogue, demonstrating differences in metal-ion binding thermodynamics, biological activity, and enzymatic stability. The project was conducted in collaboration with the University of Ferrara, where she also expanded her research skills.

Her thesis was defended with distinction and received the award for the best master’s thesis granted by the Wrocław Division of the Polish Chemical Society. She currently continues her research as a PhD fellow within the NCN OPUS-21 project and participates as a researcher in the Polish-Italian NAWA Canaletto grant in collaboration with the University of Parma.

She is also actively involved in science outreach activities, including the Lower Silesian Science Festival, and engages in mentoring younger students, promoting interest in chemistry and scientific research.
